Saturday, I went to the DC Caribbean Carnival on Georgia Avenue. Thank God I went on my bike, because most of the streets were blocked off and finding a parking spot (for a car) was nearly impossible.
Carnival is so fantastic. It’s a huge party and everyone is happy to be there and happy to see each other. I love it. You may have heard about the violence later that day, but it’s the reason why I wanted to post positive photos from Carnival. In the end, I’m glad I went!
