My two new sliders, Bert & Ernie, seem to be having a jolly good time in their new home, but Bert especially.
He’s so active, always swimming, always looking for something, always the first to know when it’s eatin’ time.
But most of all, Bert loves basking in the sun. And by sun, I mean a 75 watt UV light above his home. And when he does, he’s not just chillin on a rock, he is genuinely enjoying himself. How can I tell? He stretches out all of his limbs and just lies there, soaking it in. See his hind flippers?
It looks like he LOVES it. Because of this, I never want to turn it off, but I have to, so they get 12 hours of light, 12 hours without.
