Two years ago, I was the proud owner of four baby red-eared sliders that I got from Myrtle Beach, named Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Sadly, they met their demise during a hot, hot camping trip. 🙁
This past Saturday, Mike and I were at the Discount Tire spot, and a literal “guy in a van” had two sliders for sale. Mike made them a deal they couldn’t resist and rescued the two baby turtles. He doted on them immediately and we had to rush to Petsmart to get them everything they needed, although I already had a home for the previous turtles.
I introduce to you Bert…
…and Ernie.
On Monday morning, I caught them sleeping at about 6 am.
